About the Project
Connecticut
This recycling center in Connecticut needed a new scale house for their facility. It is a very busy operation with constant truck traffic in a tight area. Conventional construction was not possible because of the lack of space and time to site build a structure.
SafeSpace was able to design and construct this prefab modular building off site and include a break room, toilets and an additional office. Our crew demolished their existing office and set up the new office in one weekend, getting them back in business for the Monday morning rush.
Heavy duty siding and flooring were used because of the harsh environment of the site. There is a constant stream of workers entering and exiting the modular structure. Salt, sand and dirt are being tracked in all day which creates significant wear and tear on the building. SafeSpace engineers identified finishes that would stand up to the challenge.
The result is a rugged, modern modular office and prefab scale house that will serve this facility well for many years.
